Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 ¾ cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ cup dates
  • 1/3 cup boiling water

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F.
  2. Beat butter and honey, then add rolled oats, flour and baking powder.
  3. Stir dates in water until mixture is as smooth as possible.
  4. Layer the two mixtures, alternating the layers in the order of your choice, in an 8-inch square baking dish.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes.
  6. Serve warm or cold.
